About Me
I am an academic neurologist with expertise in vestibular medicine (curriculum vitae).
I studied medicine at the University of Cambridge, intercalating in neurosciences. I later trained in neurology in Bristol, where I was awarded a National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Academic Clinical Fellowship in Neurology. Within this fellowship, I conducted research with the Bristol neuro-inflammatory diseases group. I then completed a clinical research fellowship and PhD at Imperial College London investigating the link between dizziness and small vessel disease - while gaining expertise in the management of dizziness and balance disorders.
I was awarded the Hallpike (national) prize for research excellence. Thereafter, I applied for, and succeeded in obtaining a personal (Guarantors of Brain, UK) post-doctoral research fellowship award to advance my interest in small vessel disease effects on balance control, which I completed at University College London.
I have a strong interest and expertise in neuroscience and neurology. I apply my expertise to help patients understand their symptoms or concerns, so they feel empowered in the next steps of their management journey.
